Job Summary
Under direct supervision, the Accounting Intern will support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable department and support the Company's continuous improvement efforts while working in alignment with Graniterock's Strategic Priorities and business objectives.
Essential Job Accountabilities
- Comply, understand, and promote corporate and division safety initiatives to ensure "Safety Before All Else."
- Assist in preparation and analysis of financial performance measures.
- Assist in monthly generation and publication of financial statements and analysis.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Learn how to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
Education and Work Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.Preferably a current Finance or Accounting major.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Possess a strong desire to work on a team, solve problems and grow professionally.Excellent communication and time management skills while maintaining a strong focus on customer service.Ability to work with Microsoft Word and Excel.Detail oriented with ability to prepare clear and comprehensive oral and written reports and presentations.Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.Other comments : Positions require a valid CA Driver's License and clean driving record.
