Job Description

As a Senior Manager in Regulatory Affairs for Advertising and Promotion, you will combine scientific, regulatory, and business knowledge to enable AbbVie products to meet all required legislation. You will develop, supervise, and mentor regulatory professionals; support the Director in influencing the regulatory environment; and lead the regulatory function as a subject‑matter expert. Your role will involve analyzing broad regulatory implications, maintaining strategic communication with trade associations, and ensuring all promotional materials comply with internal policies, CFR, FDA guidance, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Proactively capture and disseminate government, industry, and trade association activities that impact AbbVie’s regulatory policies.
• Draft and finalize comments to regulators and trade associations in a timely manner.
• Represent the department in trade associations and build strong working relationships with association managers.
• Summarize findings in concise reports for internal distribution.
• Oversee operations and development of regulatory staff ensuring advertising and promotion materials are accurate, compliant, and competitive.
• Develop and implement strategies for promotional activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory and technical requirements across therapeutic areas.
• Manage training, compliance, and SOP implementation for advertising and promotion regulations.
• Lead cross‑functional presentations and deliver difficult messages to commercial teams without damaging relationships.
• Build and maintain solid relationships with key stakeholders in Marketing, Medical, Clinical, Legal, Sales Training, Managed Care, and Public Affairs.
