About The Position

Certifications : BLS required; must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam prior to accepting the position.

Must-Have :

Graduation from an accredited program including EKG Interpretation.

2 years of recent related work experience demonstrating requisite job knowledge / abilities.

Ability to recognize cardiac rhythms accurately.

Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Availability for 2-3 days of day shift for orientation.

Description :

The position involves performing remote surveillance for multiple locations focusing on cardio-pulmonary rhythms via a central monitoring station.

The technician is responsible for recognizing, recording, and reporting potentially dangerous rhythm changes and arrhythmias following established standards and procedures.

Work is primarily conducted in a centralized monitoring unit under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

Each technician may monitor up to 60 patients due to advanced IT technology capabilities.

The incumbent is expected to take appropriate action and follow established protocols in notifying nursing staff of changes in cardiac rhythm and arrhythmias.

The role includes following proper communication channels in handling routine and emergency situations.

All staff must adhere to established protocols and procedures.

There is a strong emphasis on striving to improve patient outcomes and department metrics.

The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and potential holiday shifts.

The technician will have opportunities to cross-train to other roles within the organization.

Dress code is business casual.
