Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in the Behavioral Health Emergency Department. The RN will assess, monitor, and manage patients experiencing behavioral health crises, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assess and triage patients presenting with behavioral health concerns in the ED.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for behavioral health patients.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses safely and accurately.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques for acute behavioral situations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including social workers, physicians, and mental health specialists.
  • Educate patients and families on coping strategies, treatment plans, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and hospital protocols.

  • Active RN license in Georgia
  • Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing preferred
  • Ability to work flexible shifts as needed
