Job Summary :
Our client is seeking a Security Infrastructure Support AWS Infrastructure and Cloud Security Support SME to join their team! This position is located in Bethesday, Maryland.
Duties :
- Architect, deploy, and manage AWS services : EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, etc. in hybrid cloud / on-premises environments
- Integrate AWS GovCloud or FedRAMP environments with on-premises security tools : Splunk, Cribl, Archer, etc. for monitoring and compliance
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI / CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) workflows using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Implement DevSecOps practices, integrating security scanning and automation into build and release processes
- Manage cloud security operations, including continuous monitoring, log ingestion, alerting, and compliance reporting
- Provide cost optimization guidance for AWS services, including budgeting, billing analysis, reserved instance management, and rightsizing strategies
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical SOPs, compliance documentation, and reporting for federal stakeholders
- Lead and coordinate across multiple teams : Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, Application teams to ensure secure and efficient operations
- Serve as a subject matter expert to advise federal program managers, CORs, and technical teams on cloud security best practices and risk mitigation
Desired Skills / Experience :
8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and security operations5+ years of hands-on experience architecting, deploying, and managing AWS cloud servicesBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fieldAWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional preferred or equivalent CSP experienceAt least one security-related certification : CISSP, CISM, AWS Security SpecialtyProven expertise in hybrid cloud / on-premises architectures and integration with security toolsExperience with CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools : Terraform, CloudFormation, AnsibleStrong knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integrating security into automated pipelinesHands-on experience with cloud security operations, monitoring, log ingestion, and compliance reportingStrong understanding of federal compliance frameworks : FISMA, NIST 800-53, OMB M-21-31Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder reporting skillsAbility to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams in complex, technical initiativesDemonstrated ability to create professional technical designs, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and compliance documentationBenefits :

Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
