Asbestos/Lead Class Instructor

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45+ per hour, commensurate with experience

Instructor Requirements:

• Instructor MUST be qualified to teach MIOSHA Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Initial and Refresher, additional classes preferred

and/OR

• Instructor MUST be qualified to teach Michigan Lead Abatement Worker Initial, Supervisor Initial, and Supervisor Refresher, additional classes preferred

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

• 10+ Years of Asbestos and or Lead abatement experience, ideally as a supervisor and contractor/worker
• Ability to teach in a classroom & hands-on environment to brand new students interested in abatement.
• Ability to document progress & communicate issues to Career Counselor and other office staff

Job Responsibilities

• Follow all governing bodies’ class requirements including overall curriculum, hands-on activities, material needed to be covered, state application submission, materials creation, and legal compliance
• Lead hands on activities in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
• The instructor will be in charge of keeping track of the attendance, creation of in class projects, and the management of time to ensure that students graduate with the highest possible chances to succeed in their future careers

Additional consideration will be given to candidates with their OSHA 500 License as well as those that demonstrate an ability to help graduates gain employment.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday - Friday (Flex)
• Flow of the schedule will depend on the class and program schedule
