Accountable for the planning, managing, supporting, and monitoring of health information systems (HIS) and projects for the Queen's Health Systems (QHS), including, but not limited to the EPIC / CARE
Essential : finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking. Continuous : sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. Frequent : walking. Occasional : standing, stooping / bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at, and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object. Operates computer, calculator, telephone, fax, and printer.
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, information services, or related field. Depending upon assignment, a bachelor's degree in a clinical profession in healthcare may be required. Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare information systems and clinical and revenue cycle information systems. Five (5) years experience in information technology, of which three (3) years minimum in healthcare. Acute care facility or integrated healthcare delivery application system experience preferred. Three (3) years management experience with direct fiscal and human resource management responsibilities. Project management experience preferred.
