Travel Nurse Job Details Job Title : Medical / Surgical Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment Location : Baltimore, MD 21239 (Maryland nursing jobs) Assignment Type : Travel RN, Med / Surg Unit Start Date : December 9, 2025 End Date : March 10, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07 : 00 - 19 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680 Patient Population : Adults and Geriatrics Weekend Requirement : Every third weekend Float Requirement : Yes, float as needed Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Compact RN license or Maryland Registered Nurse license (required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of recent Medical / Surgical RN experience BLS certification (required) NIHSS certification (preferred) Experience with Cerner electronic charting system (preferred) Ability to provide two supervisor references Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Willingness to float to other units as needed Patient ratio experience : 5-6 patients per nurse Local candidates within 60 miles accepted Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Medical / Surgical unit Perform and manage : colostomy care, feeding tube care, pre / post hemodialysis management, port access, blood product administration, PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, CVA care, surgical drains, chest tubes (Emerson / Pleur-evac), CPAP / BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen therapy, portable oxygen tanks, tracheostomy management, and isolation precautions Utilize rapid response teams and participate in code situations as needed Interpret ABGs and provide pre / post thoracic surgery care (preferred) Participate in wound salvage program, including wound vacs and serial procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services Document patient care accurately using the Cerner system Adhere to all infection control and hospital safety protocols Why Choose Baltimore for Your Next Travel Nursing Job?
