As a Security Officer - Education Access Desk in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere while assisting with security-related processes. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access, checking badges, and providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and guests. What You'll Do :

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service to individuals at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and / or visitor credentials according to established protocols.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with communication between visitors, staff, and emergency personnel as needed.

Assist with visitor management processes, including signing in guests and providing information as requested.

Serve as a visible Allied Universal representative at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity through professional presence and attentive service.

Document and report incidents or unusual activities in accordance with site-specific guidelines.

Support a welcoming and orderly environment by addressing inquiries and directing individuals to appropriate resources or locations.

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Must have at least two years of security-related experience.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
