Community Health Nurse, Tuberculosis Program — Full-Time County Contractual position with the Anne Arundel County Department of Health. Location : 1950 Drew Street, Annapolis, MD 21401.

Salary : $84,439 per year

Hours : 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. - 4 : 00 p.m.

Location : 1950 Drew Street, Annapolis, MD 21401

Nature of Work / Responsibilities

• Provide nursing case management to patients with active tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis infection.
• Complete intake interviews, physical assessments, phlebotomy and collection of laboratory specimens, and dispense tuberculosis medications with direct observed therapy (DOT).
• Educate patients and their families about known effects of medications and potential adverse reactions.
• Meet patients in the clinic and during home visits.
• Document all patient interactions in the electronic medical record.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend and lift 25 lbs.
