RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

Work three 12-hour day shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM with call responsibilities

Call required for non-weekend shifts, typically 5-6 shifts every 8 weeks with an average of one weekend shift per 8-week period

Alaska permanent RN license required for submission

13-week assignment length

Experience needed in Ortho, Total Joints, Neuro, and Robotics

Patient ratios of 1 : 1

Work as patient advocate while circulating and serving as resource for sterile field

Experience as circulator preferred, scrub experience and CNOR certification nice to have

Typical procedures include Total Joints, multi-level spine fusions, and variety of Xi Robotic cases (GYN, Colorectal, General)

Very little ENT, Dental, Eyes or plastic procedures

Required certifications : Alaska RN license, BLS, ACLS

Scrubs provided by facility

EMR system : Epic

Must have positive outlook and willingness to work with team members

This regional medical center features a comprehensive surgical department with 11 operating rooms located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building. The facility utilizes a variety of OR beds and equipment to support diverse surgical procedures, with staffing that includes an average of 8 RNs, 8 scrub techs, and 5 surgical support techs during day shifts. The operating room maintains modern technology and robotics capabilities to provide advanced surgical care to the community.
