About The Position

Job Title : Cardiac Surgical Technologist

Profession : Surgical Technologist

Shift : 6 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience : Minimum of 1 year of cardiovascular operating room experience

License : Not specified

Certifications : BLS required; CST preferred but not required

Must-Have : Experience with CABG, AVR, MVR, and Ascending Aortic Repairs.

Comfortable wearing lead during procedures.

Description :

Immediate start required.

Manager interviews will be conducted.

The facility has 2 operating rooms specifically for cardiovascular surgery.

An average of 3-4 cases are performed per day in the cardiovascular OR.

Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a cardiovascular operating room.

First-time travelers preferred to have completed at least 1 travel assignment.

Candidates will be required to discuss skills and experience during their interview with the manager.

Support on the unit includes a supervisor / manager, assistant manager, and various team leads for each service line.

The team also consists of CRNAs, an anesthesiologist, anesthesia techs, and an OR educator.

Technology used includes EMR Cerner and equipment such as IV pumps and medication dispensing systems.

Weekend rotation requires 1 weekend day every 4 weeks.

Call requirements are negotiable for surgical technologists.

Response time is expected to be 30 minutes.

Holiday expectations are minimal and will depend on the schedule.

Major holidays are observed within the operating room.

Surgical scrubs will be provided.
