Certified Addiction Counselor
Community Bridges, Inc. Founded in 1982 as a non-profit organization by members of the recovery community in Mesa, Arizona, Community Bridges Inc. has held as its principle mission "maintaining the dignity of human life" for more than 40 years.
The District of Columbia Stabilization Center (DCSC), operated by Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI), will offer immediate, 24 hours / day, 365 days / year, no cost, low barrier access to Crisis SUD services for individuals 18 years of age and older, regardless of gender, insurance, and citizenship status. The DCSC will provide individuals experiencing an SUD crisis with person-centered and a recovery-oriented alternative to unnecessary encounters at emergency departments or interactions with law enforcement. The DCSC will ensure those individuals seeking or referred for services will receive an integrated and comprehensive care to address their specific needs in a supportive clinical and recovery-oriented environment. CBI will hire pursuant to the DC EEO provisions.
Job Summary
The Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) I or lI will provide counseling services to patients with substance abuse addiction problems within the scope of their certification. The CAC will assess and analyze emotional conditions, explore possible solutions, and work within a treatment plan for mental and emotional adjustment or development. Will be responsible for teaching clients the skills and mechanics to cope with addiction and providing treatment to people with mental, emotional or substance use disorders. The CAC will be responsible for completing duties consistent with their respective licensure bodies and agency certifications.

Hourly Rate : $25.00 / HR - $33.30 / HR
