Tetra Tech's High Performance Building division is currently seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy partnering with an innovative team to work on various project types including municipal, industrial, commercial, government, forensic, and renovation work on historic structures. They will understand and work successfully within budget, project schedule, and quality requirements while collecting and assimilating data for structural engineering work.

Your Contributions will Include :

  • Delivering quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Preparing and checking design calculations of structural systems.
  • Utilizing computer-aided design tools to perform complex engineering tasks.
  • Writing forensic and investigation reports.
  • Modeling in Revit to produce design drawings.
  • Defining the structural system by modeling in structural analysis software such as Risa 3D.
  • Designing to local and State Codes, as well as Federal Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) guidelines.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college / university with an emphasis on Structural Engineering.
  • 3+ years of related industry experience as a Structural Engineer. Will consider a Master's degree in lieu of industry experience.
  • Must possess a PE or have the ability to apply for PE within a year of beginning employment.
  • Knowledgeable in the design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, aluminum, and wood.
  • Experience working with structural engineering design software such as Risa3D, SAP2000, Enercalc or ETABS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Well organized and able to work independently.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment on projects ranging from studies to detailed design.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Prior Revit experience is a bonus.
  • Concrete and steel building design is a big plus.
