Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Medical Lab Technician Discipline : Allied Health Professional Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel 291199 MEDICAL LAB TECH (MLT) DESCRIPTION : Job Title : Medical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist) Responsibilities : Perform testing in all major laboratory areas, including Phlebotomy, Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Serology, and Microbiology . Accurately collect, label, and process specimens according to established procedures. Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment. Analyze test results, verify accuracy, and report findings promptly. Adhere to quality control and safety protocols in compliance with laboratory standards and regulations. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient laboratory operations. Participate in on-call rotation ( 1 on-call day per week ) and weekend coverage ( 1 weekend per month , as needed). Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field. ASCP or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a generalist in a clinical laboratory setting. Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
