Responsibilities Position is based in the main Operating Room of a hospital, Level I trauma, academic teaching, and Magnet facility Unit includes 21 OR suites covering Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics specialties Day shifts consist of 4x10 hour schedule (6 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM) with holiday rotation On-call required, up to 4 shifts every 4 weeks Weekend shift required up to once every 4 weeks Floating within scope to similar units or sister facilities may be required Epic EMR is used Scrub attire provided RNs are trained to scrub and circulate in this busy, dynamic, and nurse-driven environment Team consists of approximately 75% RNs and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists Advanced technology and a supportive clinical team Pre-start modules (average 4 hours) must be completed before starting assignment All requested time off must be submitted for approval at the time of application During hurricane season (June-November), employees may be required for emergency response Parking requires a $20 registration fee for a garage hang tag Local candidates may be accepted on a case-by-case basis Requirements Active SC RN or compact / multistate RN license required BLS certification (AHA only) required Radiation badge required (provided by agency) Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience strongly preferred Level 1 trauma experience required Prior scrub experience strongly preferred EPIC charting experience preferred Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility for travel eligibility First-time travelers will be considered Previous perm or PRN staff must have a minimum 1-year separation from the health system Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629178.
