Job Description & Requirements Specialty : RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 21 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel We are eeking an experienced Clinical Dietitian Nutrition II to provide comprehensive nutrition care to patients across all care units, including critical care (ICU and PICU). The ideal candidate will be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and prior oncology experience . This position involves assessing patient nutritional needs, developing and implementing care plans, modifying diet orders, and providing nutrition education to patients and families. The role supports both inpatient and outpatient settings and requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Nutritional Care : Provide complete nutritional assessments and individualized care plans for patients of all ages. Modify diet orders and recommend enteral feeding and nutrition supplements as necessary. Cover all inpatient units and designated outpatient clinics; provide cross-coverage as assigned. Conduct nutrition screenings, determine risk classifications, and complete assessments within required timelines. Monitor and evaluate patients’ nutritional status, ensuring appropriate dietary adjustments. Arrange for enteral feedings and coordinate outpatient / home nutrition services when needed. Refer patients to specialized services (e.g., GI Nutrition, Speech Therapy, Social Services) as appropriate. Qualifications & Experience Required : Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) . Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) within 12 months of hire (New York only). 2–4 years of clinical nutrition experience. Strong English communication (verbal and written) and documentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Analytical, time management, and decision-making skills.
