Accountant
This position, based in the Finance Department, is responsible for the collection, interpretation, and analysis of financial data to identify trends and support departmental decision-making. The role contributes to the team's ability to meet operational and strategic objectives by providing insights through data-driven analysis. The incumbent will gain hands-on experience with core financial processes, including monthly close, reporting, and performance analysis, while developing a broad understanding of corporate finance systems and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Financial Reporting Department with the monthly financial closing processes.
- Assure all accounting entries and transactions are compliant with applicable financial policies.
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial package.
- Enter and post journal entries in the BAAN (ERP) System.
- Perform the capitalization of Fixed Assets and tracking of Capital Investments. Support the business in tracking and forecasting spending and capitalize assets in accordance with company policies.
- Support plant production cost accounting and inventory reporting requirements.
- Performs financial analysis as assigned to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and write narrative reports explaining findings under moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.
- Facilitate the preparation of information and analysis as required during the annual audit and preparation of German consolidation.
- Work directly and under supervision with external auditors, internal auditors, and / or consultants answering questions, compiling data, etc.
- Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports under moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.
- Participates in corporate projects as assigned and acts as a liaison between a variety of business areas and the Finance Department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or Business Systems (Finance or Accounting preferred).05 years of relevant professional experience.Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and systems.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize a diverse and complex workload.Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.Solid mathematical and analytical skills.Essential Job Functions
