Cable Technician

We are seeking a skilled Cable Installation Technician to join our team for a new hospital construction project in Long Island. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in installing and terminating cable systems in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.

• Cable Installation & Termination
• Proven experience pulling, routing, and terminating fiber optic and category cables
• Familiarity with cable trays, ladders, and junction boxes
• Ability to test and troubleshoot cable systems
• Blueprint Reading
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Understand symbols, scales, and layout plans for precise cable routing
• Certifications
• Valid
• OSHA 30-Hour
• certification
• Valid
• SST (Site Safety Training)
• card per NYC Local Law 196 requirements2
• Secondary Skills - Nice to Have :
• Experience working in hospital or healthcare facility construction
• Familiarity with conduit systems and cable labeling
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights
• Project Scope :
• Installation of structured cabling systems in a hospital under active construction
• Coordination with other trades and adherence to safety protocols
• Compliance with NYC Department of Buildings regulations

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 / hr.
