Interventional Radiologist to join its growing practice serving our 288-bed tertiary care hospital. The Interventional Radiologist will provide specialized care through minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging techniques. This role requires a high level of expertise in interventional radiology, effective patient communication, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Clinical Duties :

Perform and interpret a variety of interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, biopsies, and catheter placements.

Utilize imaging techniques such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI to guide and monitor procedures.

Assess patient medical histories, conduct physical exams, and review imaging results to determine appropriate interventions.

Communicate clearly with patients and families about procedures, potential risks, and benefits.

Monitor patients' post-procedure and manage any complications that arise.

Patient Care :

Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and imaging findings.

Work closely with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

Adhere to safety and quality standards in all procedures.

Qualifications :

Education : Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.

Training : Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Radiology.

Licensure : Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology. Active medical licensure in Maryland or eligibility for licensure.

Skills : Proficiency in various imaging modalities used in interventional procedures, excellent clinical judgment, technical skills, and communication abilities. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Experience : Prior experience in a broad range of interventional radiology procedures preferred.

Additional Information :

On-call availability may be required for emergency procedures.
