Front Desk Agent is needed for high-volume and fast-paced limited-service hotel. Must be able to communicate effectively with all hotel guests and employees. Must maintain a current knowledge of the surrounding area and events. Front Desk Agents are responsible for maintaining a personal and professional appearance while working effectively under pressure.
Front Desk Agents' duties include but are not limited to the following :
- Understand and maintain guest service standards and policies.
- Provide information about surrounding area, hotel policies, and amenities.
- Respond to all guests expediently.
- Communicate status of guests rooms using Property Management System.
- Relay guest requests to appropriate departments.
- Sell rooms to "walk-in" guests.
- Answer telephones and forward calls to appropriate departments.
- Enter and make changes to guest reservations using Property Management System.
- Post charges to guest accounts.
- Process payments from guests.
- Maintain front desk cleanliness.
- Maintain daily logs.
- Communicate maintenance issues according to reporting guidelines.
- Prior hospitality experience (hotel preferred) and Opera knowledge is preferred. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred candidates will be available to work overnights on an as needed basis.
