American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a dual NICU Level II and Nursery night shift role requiring 3+ years of NICU experience and a VA or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position covers both NICU Level II (7 beds) and Nursery (20 beds) settingsPatient population includes neonates 30 weeks gestation and above, some with higher acuity, substance exposure, or low birth weightNurse-to-patient ratios are approximately 1 : 2-3 in the NICU and 1 : 5 in the NurseryRequired to work night shifts with every other weekend and major holiday coverageMay float within the New Life Center as neededUse of equipment includes warmers, Alaris pumps, Bubble CPAP, GE monitors, pulse oximetry, blood glucose, and TPNEPIC EMR experience preferred but not requiredMust be comfortable attending deliveries and providing neonatal resuscitationResponsible for delivering neonatal and newborn care, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team for assessments and care planningMust manage and prioritize care for patients including those with substance exposure or requiring stabilization prior to transferOnly hospitalist is onsite overnight; must be able to work independentlyExpected to adhere to safety and quality standards in maternal and neonatal careFirst-time travelers accepted; travel experience not requiredHoliday coverage required as scheduledPass / fail EKG testing is required on the first day with study guides provided\n \n Requirements\n
