About the Role

As a Manufacturing Planner , you’ll manage assigned customer accounts from order release through shipment, ensuring on-time delivery and smooth production flow. You’ll coordinate closely with Production, Quality, and Expediting teams to resolve issues, prevent delays, and keep data accurate in our ERP system. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and generate work orders in alignment with customer requirements and production capacity.
• Track and manage open work orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Partner with Expediting and Quality to address shortages, discrepancies, or scrap-related issues.
• Initiate and manage replacement or rework work orders.
• Attend weekly production meetings and report progress on assigned accounts.
• Maintain accurate ERP / MRP data and Excel-based trackers.
• Recommend process improvements and support digital tool development.

Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in planning, production control, or scheduling.

Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, queries).

Working knowledge of ERP / MRP systems.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and routers.

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing (sheet metal or fabrication).

Familiarity with NCMR, RMA, and lean manufacturing practices.
