Job Description\n

American Traveler seeks a Med / Surg RN for a hospital-based position requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
  • Day shift position with a 4x12 hour schedule from 6 : 45 to 19 : 15
  • Every other weekend required
  • No call requirements
  • Floating may occur within facility and scope of practice as needed
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
  • Expected to work major holidays that fall within the assignment in accordance with facility guidelines
  • Time off requests (RTO) are limited to a maximum of 7 days and may not include the first week
  • Must complete compliance items and schedule labs within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Non-billable modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty
  • Perm and PRN staff must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
  • Travel pairs are not assigned the same shift on the same unit
  • No blocked scheduling is permitted

  • Active GA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum of one year recent Med / Surg RN experience required
  • Unit accepts first-time travelers
  • Two supervisory references from manager or above are highly preferred
