Stormwater Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Stormwater Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain stormwater management systems that protect our community from flooding, erosion, and water pollution. Key Responsibilities :

• Supports the design of stormwater, drainage, and water storage / conveyance projects.
• Oversees the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, modeling, analysis, and reports.
• Ensures projects are delivered within scope, budget, and schedule while meeting quality standards.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to execute project tasks effectively.
• Prepares presentations to communicate information and provides updates on major projects and initiatives to City Management, City Council, and the community.
• Responds to public inquiries regarding work performed by maintenance crews and stormwater systems.
• Meets and corresponds with various citizens, professionals, businesses, and other groups to address issues related to public works.
• Responsible for contracts related to stormwater functions.
• Coordinates with City departments such as Community Development, and Recreation and Parks for execution and collaboration to deliver stormwater initiatives and capital projects.
• Maintains a current knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, codes, regulations, and best practices related to stormwater.
• Assures compliance with local, state, and federal standards and associated inspections related to stormwater.
• Stay current on industry trends, policies, and best practices in stormwater management.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned.

We offer competitive wages starting from $73,741 to $81,285 annually . This position is exempt.
