ICU RN Job Details Location : Sioux Falls, South Dakota (Zip : 57105) Healthcare Setting : ICU (Intensive Care Unit) - Central Resource Pool Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 - End : 2 / 9 / 2026) Nursing Shift : 12-hour night shifts, Cluster C, every other weekend / holiday Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed Estimated Weekly Salary : $2140 - $2290 Employment Type : Travel Nursing - On-Site Position Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in South Dakota or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs) Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or progressive care nursing experience BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required) Proficiency in Bipap, Cpap, Heated High Flow, Oxygen titration, Moderate Sedation, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical patient care Epic charting experience preferred Specialty nursing certification preferred Ability to float to Med-Surg units as needed Must wear navy blue scrubs ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a 30-bed medical surgical unit and 8-bed progressive care unit Manage patients with diagnoses such as pneumonia, COPD, CHF, COVID-19, pulmonary embolism, and post-operative cases Perform critical care procedures : oxygen therapy, IV medications, moderate sedation monitoring, chest tubes, tracheostomies, non-invasive and mechanical ventilation, and cardiac monitoring Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including case managers, social workers, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and physical therapists Advocate for patient safety and quality care while developing critical thinking and time management skills Participate in unit-specific and hospital-wide committees focused on patient experience, performance improvement, leadership, and service excellence Complete comprehensive orientation and competency validation upon arrival Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your ICU nursing career with this exceptional travel nursing job in Sioux Falls, South Dakota!
