Job Title : Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney (Remote or In-Office – California)

A growing civil litigation firm with offices throughout California is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney. This position offers the flexibility of remote work or access to fully equipped office locations across the state. Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in all aspects of workers’ compensation matters.
- Handle cases from inception through resolution, including appearances at hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- Negotiate settlements and manage all phases of litigation in accordance with client goals.
- Maintain accurate case files and meet all internal and external deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
- Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and maintain compliance with firm standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active and in good standing with the California State Bar (required).Minimum 1 year of experience practicing workers’ compensation law preferred; all levels encouraged to apply.Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.Strong time management abilities with a high level of organization and attention to detail.Proficiency with legal technology, case management systems, and remote collaboration tools.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Compensation
Base salary range : $100,000 – $220,000 annually, commensurate with experience.Multiple bonus structures : Quarterly performance bonuses, origination bonuses, and annual discretionary bonuses.Benefits
