Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location : Dallas, TX 75230 (Texas nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Unit : Labor and Delivery (High Risk OB, 24 beds)

Start Date : October 6, 2025

End Date : January 5, 2026

On-Site Registered Nurse Position

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1820 - $1950

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Texas or compact state preferred)

Minimum 2 years of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required

Experience circulating in C-sections and recovering high acuity OB patients

Ability to float to antepartum unit as needed

Familiarity with GE fetal monitors and Meditech / CPN documentation systems preferred

Compliance with hospital dress code (RN scrub color, no artificial nails, neat hair, covered tattoos, no visible piercings except ears)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver bedside care for high-risk obstetrical patients in a 24-bed Labor & Delivery unit

Circulate and assist in C-sections, perform vaginal deliveries, D&C, and provide post-delivery recovery care

Monitor patients using GE fetal monitors and accurately document care in Meditech / CPN

Maintain safe patient ratios of 2 : 1 or 3 : 1 as appropriate

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Float to antepartum unit within the Women’s Hospital as needed

Uphold hospital policies, including attendance and dress code guidelines
