Position Overview

Stormwater Inspector II involves performing site inspections to ensure construction projects comply with approved plans and stormwater regulations. Key responsibilities include verifying the proper installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment controls and stormwater best management practices (BMPs), documenting findings, and issuing notices for non-compliance. The role requires interpreting site plans and grading, working independently outdoors in various weather conditions, and collaborating with contractors and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Site Inspections : Conduct inspections at different construction phases (e.g., grading, paving) to verify conformity with approved plans and specifications.
• Documentation : Observe and document site conditions, take measurements, record deviations, and maintain inspection records.
• Communication : Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and clients.
• Field and Office Work : Spend time outdoors at construction sites in various weather conditions while completing office work for report writing and coordination.
