POSITION PURPOSE

Software Engineering Manager manages and oversees the design development and maintenance of software applications. Directs the work of engineers to ensure the best practices around software development. Assigns work to software engineering personnel evaluates and manages their performance. Recruits engineering personnel and supports technical staffing and project teams formation. Supervises the continuing support of and provides system metrics for client facing products. Presents practical input for strategic technology decisions. Supports the Technology Roadmap and Complies with all professional departmental as well as company best practices. May supervise reporting responsibility for independent software contractors software engineers and outsourcing partners. Ensures software engineering personnel is suitably trained to perform all job function and suitably use project and software related tools. Accountable for complying with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities.
