Overview

Hands-on accounting leader responsible for financial reporting, statutory compliance, internal controls, and budgeting for a multi-entity insurance organization. Partners with leadership, auditors, and actuaries while improving processes and supporting financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly GAAP and Statutory financial statements and reconcile general ledger activity
• Complete NAIC quarterly and annual filings, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• Establish and monitor accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial analysis
• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
• Coordinate with auditors, actuaries, and consultants
• Evaluate accounting systems and support process improvements
• Assist with payroll / HR accounting and special projects
