TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified MICU RN in Clinton, South Carolina, 29325!

$1,942 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 1.5 years of experience required

License : Active SC or multistate license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required

Must-Have : Proficient in cardiac monitoring and emergency response

Description :

Position / Specialty : Registered Nurse / MICU.

Weekend Requirement : Every Other.

Requests for time off must be included in the submission and will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking.

The facility is allowed to call off one shift per two weeks.

Local candidates are accepted.

Candidates must have an active SC or multistate license.

Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.

The patient to nurse ratio is 1 : 2.

The average daily census is 5 patients.

Common diagnoses include sepsis, acute kidney injury, stroke, acute respiratory distress / failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetic ketoacidosis, post-cardiac arrest, and electrolyte imbalances.

Bronchoscopy is performed as a special procedure on this unit.

The candidate should be skilled in IV therapy, arterial line, and central line care.

They must have experience managing multi-system organ failure and administering critical medications.

Respiratory support capabilities should include BiPAP / CPAP management, ventilator care, ABG interpretation, and suctioning.

Knowledge of professional protocols such as isolation precautions and personal protective equipment use is essential.

While the organization prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff may be required to float to other units or campuses as needed.

Floating will be limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies.

1 year of experience with the EPIC charting system is required.

The daily census usually consists of adult and geriatric patients with an average of 5 patients.

The unit includes 8 beds and collaborates with various interdisciplinary support services.

Special procedures performed include bronchoscopy.

Submission of the social security number is required with the application.

Candidates will be required to complete pre-assignment testing and modules within 48 hours of receiving login information.

Travelers are eligible for reimbursement for hours spent completing modules, up to 16 hours.

Modules are complete prior to starting and are recorded in transcripts by the facility.

Staff may be required to float to other units as necessary due to census concerns.

Modules are billable and not included in the onboarding.

Completion of modules must be done at least annually.
