Overview
The Workforce Development Program Coordinator is an ambassador of the Electric Boat purpose and mission. At EB, program coordinators play an important role in helping employees develop critical skills and foster talent development. The program coordinator is an instrumental partner responsible for organizing, implementing, improving and executing Electric Boat's crucial New Employee Orientation & Onboarding strategy and other workforce and leadership development programs. In addition, program leads assist with scheduling and coordination, making for a seamless experience for new employees and participants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Oversee all aspects of running New Employee Orientation, Instructor Development Program, etc.
- Drive a positive employee experience through program execution
- Coordinate with facilitators, training administration, Talent Acquisition, and Security to ensure alignment prior to scheduled training programs
- Train facilitators to teach New Employee Orientation
- Ensure all required material is available to support training program content, this may include lifting of boxes of participant guide books
- Advise on program design
- Review and adapt material to incorporate into learning programs
- Design evaluation methods to determine and measure impact of program
- Collect, analyze, and communicate meaningful learning metrics through written and facilitated reviews.
- Provide feedback and identify improvement opportunities relating to training content
- Act as a steward of purpose for the company culture
- Maintain awareness of new learning technologies and provide suggestions for improved practices and processes
- Provide feedback to business partners helping to evolve talent strategies which achieve EB business and people objectives
- Step in as a facilitator for New Employee Orientation, as needed
The position will support both the Groton and Quonset Point locations, with travel required to both sites, including offsite training facilities.

Bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or Psychology2+ years of experience as an instructional or educational trainer or program lead5+ years of experience as a teacher or educator in public or private school systemPreferred Qualifications
