Job descriptionCurrent CNA certification in the appropriate state required No experience required new graduates and those early in their careers are encouraged to apply! All Novant Health team members are responsible for fostering a safe patient environment driven by the principles of "First Do No Harm". Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience : One year of relevant experience, preferred. Assisted Living facilities only : one year of experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required. Licensure / Certification : Completion of NAI program, required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required. Medication Safety - AME, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Additional Skills Preferred : Basic computer skills for documentation.

About the Unit :
- Opening February 2026
- Provides inpatient-level care with ED-style charting
- Offers both variety and consistency no two days are the same, but teamwork keeps the environment steady and collaborative
- A true team-based culture where everyone supports one another and flexes to meet patient needs
- When census is low, CNAs may float to other inpatient or COH units
