• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit\n
• Monitor and assess patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring\n
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans\n
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and discharge instructions\n
• Accurately document patient care and clinical observations in electronic health records\n
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status, including emergency interventions\n
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges\n
• Travel to and from assignment locations as needed\n\nRequirements of the Travel PCU Nurse : \n
• Valid Connecticut / Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license\n
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications\n
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Progressive Care Unit or a Telemetry unit\n
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills\n
