Position Title: High School Health Teacher
Location: Bronx, NY 10453
Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $50 to $60 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Health Teacher to join our faculty. Who provide a rigorous academic experience that integrates law and social justice, while also supporting the whole child. You will play a critical role in equipping students with the knowledge and skills to make informed health decisions and lead balanced lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging health lessons aligned with NYS and national standards

• Teach essential health topics such as nutrition, mental health, substance abuse prevention, human development, and personal wellness.

• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports social-emotional development.

• Promote wellness and healthy lifestyles schoolwide through collaboration and example.

• Monitor student progress through varied assessments and adjust instruction accordingly.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Education or a related field

• NYS Certification in Health

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Secondary Education or related field

• Experience teaching grades 9–12 in urban school settings

• Familiarity with adolescent health issues and educational tools
