Responsibilities Work in a hospital Interventional Radiology department with 7 pre / post bays and 2 procedural suites Care for both inpatient and outpatient populations undergoing procedures such as biopsies, uterine fibroid embolizations, kyphoplasties, port placements, angiograms, arterial and venous interventions, neurological thrombectomies, and more Patient ratios are 1 : 1 in procedure rooms and up to 1 : 3 in the pre / post area Shifts are primarily 10-hour days, 6 : 30 am–4 : 30 pm, with 4 shifts per week and a rotating off day, or 3 12-hour shifts with rotating off days On-call is typically required every 4th weekend and 1 night during the week depending on staffing Floating is required only to other procedural areas if skillset permits, such as cath lab pre / post Uses Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell for medications, and Spacelabs monitors RNs provide direct care for interventional radiology procedures and manage pre- and post-procedure patient needs Support from a unit charge nurse is available Orientation includes 2 shifts in the unit plus up to 2 shifts of education / onboarding Scrub color is flexible; green scrubs are provided for procedure cases Parking provided in assigned hospital areas, including parking deck All staff, including travelers, share holiday coverage expectations with core team Requirements Active AL or compact RN license required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in an appropriate setting required; first-time travelers must have at least 2 years of experience ICU experience and skills with moderate sedation, arterial lines, medication titration, and chest tubes required Must reside outside a 60-mile radius from the facility Perm staff must wait at least 6 months before being eligible for traveler consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-632310.
