Certified Nursing Assistant – Neurology at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center – Spokane, WA

Shift : Average 36 hours weekly, 12‑hour night shifts, full‑time position.

The Nursing Assistant functions within the scope of practice under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to assist in providing care and implementing delegated activities of the nursing plan. The assistant demonstrates an understanding of basic nursing skills and skills unique to the assigned clinical unit(s).

Responsibilities

• Meet the hygienic, nutritional, elimination, activity, comfort and safety needs of patients.
• Obtain and report vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
• Perform urine reductions, assist with transfers, discharges and patient transports.
• Obtain supplies and equipment as necessary from designated departments.
• Assist with delegated nursing plan activities under RN supervision.
