  • Account Services Representative $48,921.60 - $53,456.00 Annually

The principal function of an employee in this classification is to provide customer service and perform a wide range of administrative and bookkeeping tasks to support the maintenance of the City's financial records.

  • Work is performed under the supervision of the Treasurer; however, some leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgement and initiative.
  • The work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with the assigned supervisor, other City employees, and the general public.
  • The principal duties of this class are performed in a general office environment.

    • Code Compliance Officer $65,790.40 - $71,884.80 Annually

  • The principal function of an employee in this class is to enforce local ordinances and codes as well as to inspect and investigate complaints of non-compliance.
  • The work is performed under the supervision and direction of an assigned supervisor but considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative.
  • The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with their assigned supervisor, other departmental personnel, local businesses, homeowners, contractors, engineers, other City employees, and the general public.
  • The principal duties of this class are performed at various properties and / or construction sites with exposure to a variety of weather conditions and terrains.

    • Lifeguards $21.00 Hourly

    Summer is almost here and the City of Bozeman is now recruiting for Short Term Lifeguards! We are looking for candidates who can commit to the entire season (May or June-August.)

    Municipal Court Administrator $98,775.97 - $108,543.99 Annually

  • The principal function of an employee in this class is to manage the administrative and clerical functions for the Bozeman Municipal Court.
  • This work is performed under the direction of the Chief Judge, but extensive leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative reflecting the judges' philosophies, priorities, and general direction.
  • The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with Municipal Court judges, other elected officials, co-workers, other City personnel, attorneys, local businesses,
  • State and local agencies, and the general public.
  • The principal duties of this class are performed in a general office and court environment.

    • Part-Time Police Officer $36.00 Hourly

  • The principal function of an employee in this class is to provide security for the Municipal Court, the Bozeman Public Safety Center, and for law enforcement during special events, performing a variety of law enforcement duties in the enforcement of all Federal, State, and local laws and ordinances to ensure the preservation of public peace, prevention of crimes, and the protection of life and property.
  • The work is performed under the supervision and direction of a Command Officer, but considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative.
  • The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Police Chief, other Command Officers and City personnel, elected and appointed officials, representatives of Federal, State, County and municipal agencies, media representatives and the general public.
  • The principal duties of this class are performed in a variety of non-emergency situations, but may also involve occasional emergency situations, which may involve exposure to potential personal danger.

    • Special Service Officer $69,118.40 - $75,524.80 Annually

  • The principal function of an employee in this class is to provide security for the Municipal Court and Bozeman Public Safety Center.
  • The work is performed under the supervision and direction of a Command Officer, but considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative.
  • The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Police Chief, other Command Officers and City personnel, elected and appointed officials, representatives of Federal, State, County and municipal agencies, media representatives and the general public.
  • The principal duties of this class are performed in a variety of non-emergency situations, but may also involve occasional emergency situations, which may involve exposure to potential personal danger.
