River Park Hospital is a 165-bed facility that provides behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors in both inpatient and residential settings. Summary
Functions include processing of all Business Office functions to ensure maximum collections of accounts receivables in a timely manner and adherence to all UHS policies and guidelines as well as third party guidelines.
Qualifications
Responsibilities
1. Review and documentation for each admission. Review includes (a) documentation of verification of insurance benefits and pre-cert (b) appropriate paperwork signed by legally responsible person on required forms; (c) patient demographics, address, phones, insurance etc. is complete. Documentation is entered into the specific patient account in MS4.
2. Financial Counseling with each patient that has a potential patient balance. UHS required forms are completed and given to BOD. Credit Reports are pulled, noted, and placed in the financial folder.
3. Insurance and patient follow-up list is worked daily.
4. Review and correction as appropriate for any auto. contractual adjustments based on contracts and the remittances as they are received daily.
5. Follow up with the insurance companies daily for any accounts that are not paid according to contract or verification.
6. Individualized letters to the patient concerning any remaining balance as soon as insurance remit is processed.
7. Placement of accounts for agency collection as appropriate.
8. Verification of Medicare and Medicaid Eligibility
9. Documentation into the MS4 Patient Accounting System
10. Filing and scanning (current and paid out accounts)
11. Performs other duties as assigned / required by this position.
