Substitute Bus Driver

Location : North Brunswick, NJ 08902

Compensation : $30 / h – 1099 Independent Contractor

We are seeking dependable Substitute Bus Drivers to safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities across the district. Bus drivers play a crucial role in ensuring students arrive safely and on time.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with School Bus endorsement

Safe driving record and ability to pass a background check

Ability to manage student behavior on the bus and ensure a safe environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Must pass required criminal history background check and drug / alcohol screening

Responsibilities :

Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes, including morning, afternoon, and field trips

Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers at all times

Follow district schedules and assigned routes

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safety and cleanliness

Manage student behavior in a calm and professional manner

Report any accidents, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly

Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation policies and regulations
