About The Position

Job Title : Sterile Processing Tech

Location : Hermiston, OR

Job Type : Contract (13 weeks)

Position Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician works under the direct supervision of the Sterile Tech Lead and reports to the Surgery Services Nurse Manager. This role is responsible for receiving and reprocessing reusable instruments throughout the hospital in accordance with established procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize reusable surgical instruments and equipment.

Prepare and assemble instrument trays, sterile linens, and supplies as directed.

Distribute reprocessed supplies and assist with pulling case carts for surgical procedures.

Support inventory control processes within the surgical department.

Assist with the transport of patients and equipment within and between departments, as needed.

Maintain accurate documentation related to sterilization and equipment tracking.

Follow all infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience : 3 years of sterile processing experience.

License / Certification : Must hold an active state license / certification as a Sterile Processing Technologist.
