Material Handler

Efficiently handle and manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of materials in accordance with organizational standards and operational requirements. Come work for a great company! We need an experienced material handler on our day shift! Hours are 8 am to 4 pm. Must be open to work weekends. Qualifications : A High School Diploma or equivalent, legal eligibility to work in the US, effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel, proficiency in reading and writing English, previous warehouse experience with the operation of a forklift and electric pallet jack preferred, basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for machines used in the production process. Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary. Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions. Must be able to see in low light conditions, hear, and speak clearly. Required to operate machinery in a warehouse setting and working around pedestrians, and other warehouse pickers / material handlers. Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs. (frequently) Ability to stand and change positions frequently over an eight-hour period. Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and legs. (frequently) Ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or continuously to lift objects up to 50 lbs. (frequently) Ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.

Job Responsibilities : Complies with, monitors, and enforces all written and verbal safety regulations and programs of the plant and department. Pass all required training to safely operate forklift and load hogs. Understand and adhere to plant policies and procedures. Process work orders, documents number of units handled, interpret verbal instructions to determine tasks, and transmit data for invoicing. Install protective devices to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported. Maintain inventory of materials on daily basis in a neat and orderly manner to ensure proper levels for production purposes with the following : HITW - REPRO - SUPERHEX always keeping back flush full. Color concentrate Boxes. Able to read and maintain inventory forms. Maintains a clean and neat work area in the facility. Ability to safely operate forklift and load hogs and pallet jacks. Must pass all required training. Abides by all Pitt Plastics safety policies and procedures.

Work Environment Conditions Subjected To In This Position : The warehouse is not climate control.
