American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN with at least 1 year of critical care experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, and proficiency in Epic charting for a Level I trauma center assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a PACU setting within a Level I trauma, short-term acute care hospitalPrimary responsibilities rotate between PACU and pre / post interventional radiology areasCares for surgical patients including GU, GYN, colorectal, minimally invasive, bariatric, and some ENT casesPatient ratios are typically 1 : 2Night shift, 4x10s schedule : Tuesday-Friday 2100-0730, with Tuesday shift starting at 2200On-call required : 24 hours per 6-week schedule period as neededNo weekend shifts requiredFloating within the service line as neededEpic EMR experience requiredPACU nurses must manage complex post-anesthesia patients with multiple drains, vasoactive drips, and mechanical ventilationPre / Post IR area responsibilities may include managing multiple complex patients in preopNavy scrubs are required for all shiftsFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionMaximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract, no RTO in the first weekReturn staff must have a 12-month break before returning as a travelerInitial orientation includes completion of required online modulesCandidates working straight night shifts receive free employee parking; otherwise, parking fees and arrangements apply\n \n Requirements\n
