Western Botanicals is a fast-growing dietary supplement and sports nutrition manufacturer located in Spanish Fork, UT. As a result of our continued growth, we are seeking a Director of R&D to lead and expand our Research & Development function. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, outgoing, and thrives in a collaborative environment. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and customer-facing interaction, as well as the ability to develop and mentor an R&D team in a rapidly growing company.

Position Overview

• Lead & direct the R&D departments projects.
• Lead & direct the collection of regulatory documents and creation of supplement facts panels.
• Directly manage the R&D team, offering mentorship, accountability, development opportunities.
• Serve as a collaborative partner with other departments, ensuring compliance, timeliness, and innovation in all R&D outputs.
• Maintain strong vendor and partner relationships, particularly with flavor houses, to optimize costs and expand our internal product library.
• Play a critical role in supporting new business by providing formulation expertise, flavor development, and direct interaction with customers when needed.
