Analyst, Residential Mortgage Loan

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY :

Bayview Asset Management is seeking to hire an investment professional to serve as a Residential Mortgage Loan Analyst to support its newly established Insurance Asset Management business. Partnering with business and investment leaders across Bayview, the successful candidate will be a critical component of developing and scaling Bayview's footprint with insurance clients.

The incoming Analyst will leverage skills sets including cash flow modeling, market analysis, problem solving, data analysis, data management, and presentation skills to contribute to growing the asset management business at Bayview. You will play a pivotal role in evaluating loan portfolios, monitoring loan performance, tracking portfolio outcomes and identifying optimal portfolio strategies. You will collaborate closely with portfolio managers, traders, and other stakeholders to support investment decision-making processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Develop tools to monitor and perform monthly surveillance of assets in the portfolio and assess portfolio performance relative to expectations.
• Generate and manage reports summarizing daily portfolio positions, available investable capital, portfolio forecasts and loan performance.
• Respond to various ad hoc requests from members of the team
• Evaluate bulk and flow mortgage loan opportunities to assess fit with client and fund guidelines and help determine optimal pricing to achieve portfolio goals.
• Identify opportunities to optimize loan acquisition and investment strategies to fit client guidelines and maximize overall yield or investment returns.
• Identify, develop, and cultivate relationships with internal teams in order ensure coordination across the platform and provide strong investment solutions for client and fund portfolios.
• Collaborate with senior-level investment and company leadership to develop and execute strategic priorities for key relationships, as well as the overall Insurance Asset Management business.
