Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented staff accountant to join our team in the north suburbs. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely reconciliations, and supporting various accounting functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with the finance team and contribute to the company's operational success. Salary up to 85K. This is a hybrid model and offers great growth opportunities.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly account balances to maintain financial accuracy.
• Create and record journal entries as part of the month-end closing procedures.
• Manage intercompany transactions, including sales, payables, and receivables, ensuring proper reconciliation and elimination at the end of each reporting period.
• Handle treasury functions such as processing wire transfers, issuing checks, cash forecasting, and daily cash reporting.
• Assist in updating and maintaining documentation for accounting processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with the finance team on strategic business initiatives and projects.
• Prepare audit schedules and support year-end audit activities to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
