Job Title : Travel Med / Surg Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location : Henrico, Virginia 23229 (Greater Richmond Area)

Employment Type : Travel nursing contract

Unit : Medical-Surgical (Forest Campus, 3rd Floor)

Start Date : July 28, 2025

End Date : October 27, 2025

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : Every 3rd weekend

Scrub Color : Navy

Electronic Medical Record : Meditech

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1230 – $1270

Licensed Practical Nurse Qualifications

Active LPN or LVN license in Virginia or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs)

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)

At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience

Strong teamwork, compassion, and patient care skills

Excellent communication and clinical documentation abilities

Neuro assessment skills preferred

Med / Surg LPN Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in an 18-bed medical-surgical unit

Assist neurologists with bedside lumbar punctures and neuro assessments

Perform central line dressing changes, tube feedings, wound care, and Foley catheter insertions

Monitor and document patient status using Meditech EMR

Collaborate with registered nurses (RNs), patient care technicians (PCTs), and clinical coordinators to deliver high-quality healthcare

Float to other medical-surgical units as needed within the hospital
