Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide vital leadership and mentorship for our Medical Assistants, while delivering high-quality nursing care to patients across various stages of health. As a Referral Coordinator, your expertise will be essential in managing patient referrals and authorization processes. The ideal candidate will foster collaborative relationships with clinical and non-clinical team members, ensuring a respectful and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities :
- Identify and respond to routine, urgent, or emergency situations, and manage referral authorization procedures effectively.
- Welcome all patients in a warm, professional manner, demonstrating outstanding customer service and ensuring their comfort during wait times. Accurately document all required demographic, insurance, and financial information in our systems.
- Assist physicians in preparing patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures by thoroughly assessing their condition through documentation of medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints. You may perform a variety of procedures, including EKG, casting, suturing, and Point of Care Testing.
- Streamline authorization requests through the Managed Care System, ensuring timely completion with a complete understanding of eligibility, benefits, and proper coding.
- Administer medications and observe patients for any adverse reactions, promptly reporting findings to the medical team.
- Provide wound care, apply compresses, and utilize necessary medical equipment as required.
- Collect and perform routine laboratory tests on patient samples, maintaining compliance with sterilization and cleanliness protocols.
- Order and manage clinical supplies per established standards while maintaining a clean and organized facility.
- Document incidents in accordance with regulations and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
- Lead and support Medical Assistants to enhance patient flow, monitor workflow efficiency, and implement staffing changes as necessary to adapt to volume fluctuations.
- Demonstrate competence in performing responsibilities that meet the diverse needs of patients across all age groups.
- Adapt assessment and treatment methods to accommodate the unique needs of each individual served.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and operations of the clinic.
Requirements :
Emergency Response Team (ERT) certification.Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of employment or compact.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Work Schedule : 5 Days - 8 Hours
