General Description

This position delivers direct physical therapy and consultative services, as recommended by the interdisciplinary team, to developmentally delayed and / or medically at-risk children from birth to age three in a community-based setting. In accordance with Texas licensure requirements, Physical Therapist Assistants must work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Education

Required : Completion of a program from an accredited college or university, resulting in certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Experience

Preferred : One (1) year of experience working with children from birth to three (3) years old and / or preschool-aged children.

Licenses / Certifications

Required : Licensed, in good standing, by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.

Required : Valid Texas driver's license.

Individuals seeking licensure will be considered.

Physical Requirements

Required : Sight, hearing, talking, lifting up to 25 pounds, walking, bending, driving a vehicle, and hand / finger dexterity.

Hours

Monday - Friday, Generally, 8 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m.

Salary

Negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience.
